As soon as Boris Becker (55) has finished his prison sentence and is a free man again, it’s back to court in January. His divorce from his wife Lilly Becker (46) should finally take place. The crux of the matter: dear money.
After separating from the mother of his son Amadeus (12) in 2018 Boris in the beautiful and cunning Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro (33) has long since found a new love. Or as Boris put it in his first TV interview after prison: “SHE is the great love of my life. And I hope I’ll always be with her.”

But before the tennis legend could put a ring on her finger as a token of love and make her his third wife, he first had to get divorced.
According to RTL Becker is still married to Lilly because there are unclear alimony payments. This clarification should now bring a court date in January 2023. If the two still cannot agree on a sum, a judge would determine the amount of maintenance, it is said.
Are over four years Boris and Lilly Becker are no longer a couple, their relationship has more than cooled down. In the big TV interview after jail, the Wimbledon winner spoke of his ex as “Sharlely”.
Boris explained: “I call her by her real name. She asked me to stop calling her Lilly. Because that was a name I made up.”
He didn’t want to say much more about her. “I’m grateful to her for giving me Amadeus,” says Becker. “But… I’m not the type to talk negatively about a relationship or an ex-wife right now. A gentleman doesn’t do that.” There was a lot to be read between the lines.

According to Becker’s lawyer Christian-Oliver Moser, an English family court decided in July 2019 that the basic requirements for the divorce were met.
