Netflix announced on Friday that the spin-off of That ’70s Show would return for a second season.

That ’90s Show returns for a season 2″, published Netflix on its Twitter account, on February 3.

Two weeks after the broadcast of the series, spin-off of That ’70s Show, the platform therefore announces its renewal. The series has been viewed for more than 41 million hours and has been in the top 10 of the world’s most viewed series for two weeks in 35 countries.

The series is particularly successful in the United States and Canada, but also in Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, the Netherlands, Norway, Ireland, Iceland, Australia and New Zealand.

“The entire ‘That ’90s Show’ team was overwhelmed by the warm and enthusiastic reception our first season received. We look forward to returning to Point Place for another summer of laughs and surprises. Hello 1996”, said in a press release relayed by varietyGregg Mettler, co-creator, executive producer and series director.

Broadcast between 1998 and 2006, the sitcom That ’70s Show followed a gang of teenagers in the 1970s. She revealed the actors Ashton Kutcher (Michael), Mila Kunis (Jackie), Vilmer Valderrama (Fez), Topher Grace (Eric) and Laura Prepon (Donna). All have also participated in this new series.

In this new version, set in 1995, fans find Point Place (a fictional town in Wisconsin) and the basement of the Formans (Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith), and discover a new generation of teenagers, around Leia Forman (Callie Haverda), the Forman’s granddaughter and the daughter of Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti.

That ’70s Show, broadcast on the American channel Fox between 1998 and 2006, had 200 22-minute episodes.
