MIAMI.- Univision revealed today -April 22- that the multi-platinum artist Becky G joins as host of the Latin American Music Awards (Latin AMAs) 2024.
“The singer, songwriter and actress also promises to light up the Latin AMAs stage with an explosive music performance. Joining her on the list of newly announced artists are urban music sensation Feid, Brazil’s Anitta, Colombian singer-songwriter Manuel Medrano and Mexican music artist Oscar Maydon, who complete the lineup for the anticipated awards ceremony that will air live on Thursday, April 25 at 7:00 pm ET/ 6:00 pm CT on Univision, Unims, Galavisión and ViX,” the chain detailed in a statement.
- Becky G: The Mexican-American star joins as host of the show alongside previously announced talents Alejandra Espinoza, Carlos Ponce and Thala. In addition, he will present his most recent hit Mercedes along with Oscar Maydon. Becky G is the winner of eight Latin AMAs and this year she is nominated in the Best Urban Collaboration category.
- Anitta: The artist known for her infectious mix of pop, funk and reggaeton has chosen the stage of the Latin AMAs to make the television debut of Double Team and the world premiere of Sheetboth from his next album Funk Generation which will be released on April 26.
- Sweep: The versatile urban singer, who is currently on tour FerxxoCalipsismake a special stop to interpret Date y Brickell alongside Yandel, for the first time on television, and to be part of the special recognition of the reggaeton cone as Latin AMA Pioneer. Feid is one of the most nominated artists of the night with 12 nominations that include Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, Streaming Artist of the Year, Global Latin Artist of the Year, Best Urban Artist, among others.
- Manuel Medrano: The Colombian singer-songwriter joins the special presentation in tribute to Ricardo Montaner, who will be honored this year with the Latin AMA Legacy Award.
The list of presenters for the celebration is expanded with the musical artists Brray, Camila Fernández, Codiciado, Los Esquivel and Sheila E. The soccer player Deyna Castellanos, the actress Cassandra Sánchez-Navarro and the television personalities Arana Lemus, Chiquibaby and Jackie Guerrido. Furthermore, the influencer Marko will join the live broadcast on the day of the show and will have a special appearance in the pre-show celebrity night and during the awards ceremony.
