The police services of the wilaya of Béjaïa arrested two people involved in a theft case. Indeed, the security services made their intervention following a call received by the victim who caught the culprit in flagrante delicto. According to what the Arabic-speaking daily reports Ennahar, the two people are a 28-year-old young man and his 46-year-old uncle. The latter works as a gardener in the victim’s house. And this, for 15 years.
In fact, the gardener abused the trust of the owner of the house. He who even gave him the keys to his house. In detail, the worker set up a plan jointly with his nephew, in order to steal sums of money from the house of the principal concerned. However, he discovered the gardener’s plan. Indeed, the victim noticed a lack of money on several occasions.
The thief arrested in flagrante delicto
The owner of the house tricked the thieves into thinking he got out of the house. However, he left behind some family members when leaving his home. The accused cut off the electricity as soon as he entered the house, to facilitate his mission. Thus, he stole a sum of 250,000 DA, according to the same source. Fortunately, the people who were at the house arrested him in flagrante delicto.
The thief was taken to hospital after sustaining injuries when he fell down the stairs while trying to escape. At the police station, the culprit confessed everything. Moreover, he even mentioned the name of his accomplice. It should be noted in this wake that the two people were brought before the responsible authorities. And this, for the offense of theft with false keys.
