We would thus find two former Ligue 1 coaches in competition: Mauricio Pochettino and André Villas-Boas! The Argentinian technician has been free since his ousting from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022, while his Portuguese counterpart has not bounced back following his departure from OM in February 2021. The two coaches have a famous style in common player who would follow in the line of Martinez. On the other hand, they are rather labeled club coaches, the only experience of AVB coach being limited to a brief stint on the bench of the British Virgin Islands, in its debut!
Henry not in the favorites
Despite perhaps significant financial requirements, these two profiles appear playable for the 3rd of the 2018 World Cup. The last name out of the hat, on the other hand, turns out to be more ambitious since it is Joachim Löw! Free since the summer of 2021 and a long mandate of 15 years on the Mannschaft bench, the German represents a target of choice and his name circulates regularly in the biggest European clubs (PSG, Real Madrid, etc.).
Attracting him will therefore not be easy, especially in the current context, with the decline of the golden generation (including Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku) and rumors of tensions in the group during the last World Cup. If these priority tracks do not succeed, the Belgian Federation could turn to Pirlo, Puel, Renard, stationed in Saudi Arabia and who recently denied any contact, or Henry.
