Bilbao (Spain), Aug 12 (EFE).- Jude Bellingham, author of the final 0-2 defeat tonight in San Mamés against Athletic Club, believes that Real Madrid “could have scored more goals” because they have “dominated the game and created many chances”.
“We have dominated and created many chances. In the second half it cost us a bit and we had to fight, but we defended and played a very good counter-attack and we could have scored more goals”, he considered.
Bellingham assured that this meeting, his official debut with the white shirt, “has been very special” for him. “But the most important thing is the victory. I was lucky to score. And there are three points to start the season”, he congratulated himself.
Regarding the fact of scoring, he commented: “if you shoot you have the chance to score. I didn’t hook the ball well, but I was lucky that it went in and it worked”.
