A man is said to have driven an e-bike at 70 kilometers per hour and hit a police officer during a traffic check.
The police had set up a speed control in Reinickendorf late on Wednesday evening and measured the cyclist at 70 kilometers per hour instead of the permitted speed of 50, as announced on Thursday.
A police officer wanted to stop the cyclist, who ignored the signs and drove straight towards the police officer, causing a collision. The police officer reportedly fell and injured himself.
The 33-year-old e-bike driver was arrested. There was already an arrest warrant against him because he had not paid a fine, it was said. (dpa)
