The Berserk manga continues to appear in Young Animal magazine. After several months of absence, the work will resume a slightly more sustained pace.
Despite the death of its late author, Berserk is slowly moving towards its end. Almost two years after the death of Kentarō Miura, the manga that inspired Dark Souls and others continues to be published thanks to the efforts of his studio, which has the difficult task of continuing its work without him. Everything is done under the supervision of Kouji Mori, the mangaka’s childhood friend and the only person he had shared the outcome of the story. It is therefore 8 chapters that have been released since, and we are already holding a date for the next one. The good news is that there won’t be a long break this time.
A date for Berserk Chapter 373
Chapter 372 just released, the release date of the next pages of Berserk is known. After several months without anything to eat, fans of the work will therefore not have to wait so long to discover the rest of the arc with a reunion as tragic as it has been long awaited. Guts’ adventures will continue in Young Animal magazine from May 26, 2023 with Chapter 373. If this announcement obviously only concerns Japan, it will still be possible to read unofficial French translations online (scantrad) on your usual reading sites in stride.
Volume 42 of Berserk is still scheduled for release next September in Japan. Glenat has not yet communicated on its publication in France. It is therefore impossible to know if we will also be rewarded with a collector’s edition as successful as in the Land of the Rising Sun. Our Japanese comrades will indeed be able to get their hands on a bust of Guts in his particularly successful armor. The most far-sighted French fans can however already pre-order this pretty statuette on Amazon Japan or on other import sites. Count a little more than 76€ (shipping and customs fees included) to get your hands on it. However, there is little chance that the French publisher will offer exactly the same, so it is better not to miss it.
As for the sequel Berserk, difficult to predict or theorize about the events that could happen in chapter 373. Will Casca and Guts be able to free themselves from their darkest thoughts? Does Griffith still have such a firm grip on Falconia? Answer, perhaps, at the end of the month.
