A few days ago we reported that Bethesda confirmed that the physical version of Redfall does not include a disc, but the company clarified that this is only the case for the PC version, which includes a code to redeem the game on Steam. On the other hand, the physical version of Redfall in its Xbox version does include a blu-ray disc with the base game, at least in its standard edition.

Since the information on the Bethesda page was not completely clear, the official Bethesda Support page made a post on social networks clarifying that the physical version of Redfall for Xbox does include a blu-ray disc with the game. In contrast, the physical edition of Redfall for PC only includes a code to redeem the game on Steam.

The official Bethesda Support account clarifies that the Bite Back update can be purchased separately from the physical Xbox edition, either with a code that gives you the items in the pack or directly from the Xbox digital store. Instead, the physical game can be obtained physically or digitally in its Xbox Series X | S version.

The standard edition of Xbox is the only one that provides the player with a physical disc with the game.”, is what the official page of Bethesda Support says. Based on this, we can assume that other physical editions of Redfall for Xbox Series X|S will not include the blu-ray disc with the game. Remember that Redfall is a game with Smart Delivery, so if you buy the digital version you get it both in its Xbox Series X|S version and in its Windows PC version with cross-progression.

Redfall goes on sale on May 2, 2023 and is an exclusive for Xbox Series X | S and PC consoles. Remember that Redfall will reach the Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming service from its launch, so we can also play it from Xbox One consoles and mobile devices with a good internet connection.
