On Friday, the verdict will be announced against the two brothers, 17 and 22 years old, who were charged with driving their mother to death in Gothenburg last year. According to the prosecutor, the motive behind the crime was honor-related, as the family opposed the mother’s new relationship.
Now one of the brothers is freed. The other is sentenced to life imprisonment.
On July 30 last year, the police in Gothenburg were alerted to Långströmsgatan in Hisingen. Two people have been hit by a car, a woman dies and a man is seriously injured.
Shortly afterwards, suspicions are directed at the woman’s sons, who are suspected of having killed their mother. The injured man is the woman’s new boyfriend.
