MIAMI.- Magazine Billboard announced that the awards Billboard Women in Music celebrate its first edition in Italia on 16 September, with the aim of recognising female musicians from this European region. The ceremony will take place at the Manzoni Theatre in Milan.
In a statement, the magazine said the awards ceremony aims to highlight the link between music and fashion, taking into account that the event will take place days before Milan Fashion Week.
For this reason, the organisers decided to hold the award ceremony near the fashion district, Via Montenapoleone.
“Since its first edition in 2007, Billboard Women in Music has honored world-famous artists such as Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and many other major international music stars. The first edition of Billboard Italia Women in Music will be a unique opportunity to celebrate Italian protagonists, from chart-topping artists to music industry professionals working behind the scenes,” Billboard reports.

Billboard Women in Music recognizes different female artists in the categories of Woman of the Year, Artist of the Year, Breakthrough, Icon, A&R of the Year, Manager of the Year, and Style.

So far, the artists who will be honored at the first Italian edition have not been announced.
