Blumenegger New Year’s reception

Starting the new year together has a long tradition in the Blumenegg region. And with the election of their New Year’s speaker 2023, the mayors are directly following this: Pfather Johannes Pausch already provided valuable impetus at the first New Year’s reception 27 years ago.

The award-winning author of books on a wide variety of topics has been dealing with how community can succeed for many years. As a theologian, philosopher and educator, he searches for answers to the big questions in life and advises communities and companies on the issue of conveying values.

Born in Upper Palatinate/FRG in 1949, Dr. Johannes Pausch entered the Benedictine order in Metten Monastery at the age of twenty. He studied philosophy and theology in Salzburg and pedagogy and psychagogy in Munich. He worked for several years as a teacher and educator at the Benedictine grammar school in Metten, was spiritual leader at the St. Benedict College in Salzburg, had teaching assignments for TCI and spiritual guidance at the universities of Salzburg, Linz, Mainz and Tübingen.

The priest gained greater fame when he founded the European monastery Gut Aich in St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang in 1993 and continued to expand it into a Hildegard center and an outpatient clinic for physiotherapy and psychotherapy. In 2012 he founded the association and the center of the same name “European Monastery Medicine Gut Aich”, which he still heads today.

The host municipality of Thuringia and the mayors of Bludesch, Ludesch and Thüringerberg invite you to an inspiring get-together from 7 p.m. in the festively decorated middle school hall of Thuringia. The local music club will provide music for the evening. After the speech, all visitors can look forward to a convivial conclusion with a small drink.
