BMW took advantage of the launch of the new BMW 5 Series to announce some more features for the sedan. One of them is the arrival of casual games installed natively on the multimedia system, which now has BMW Operating System 8.5.

According to BMW, there will be 15 games installed natively, all with a casual profile and that can only be played when the car is stopped. This feature was thought, of course, very much in line with the plug-in hybrid versions of the car and the brand new 100% electric variant, the BMW i5.

The automaker works with the scenario in which customers stop to charge their cars and take advantage of this time to have fun with the games, all exposed on the huge 12.3-inch curved screen. To control the games, passengers need to download the AirConsole platform app and use their cell phone as a controller.

Among the expected games are names like Go Kart Go, great goal, Music Guess e Overcooked. It is good to remember, however, that there are already games on Android Auto and that they can also be used for users to have fun while charging their electric or plug-in hybrid car. The difference is that, in Android Auto, the multimedia screen is the control.

BMW claims that, initially, AirConsole games will be available only on the BMW 5 Series. Soon other models of the brand should receive them through an online update.
