Since moving to Gladbach in 2019, Marcus Thuram’s career has been on the up. In the Bundesliga scorer rankings, he is currently only just behind leader Niklas Füllkrug (13 goals) with eleven goals . Thuram was at the start for the Équipe Tricolore at both the 2021 European Championship and the 2022 World Cup.

It’s clear that the top international clubs have him on the list. Gladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus harbored hopes of being able to extend Thuram’s expiring contract. In vain, as he now hinted.
