A 28-year-old girl was found murdered with two bullets in her home in the Zavaleta neighborhood of Barracas and for the femicide they were looking for the victim’s partner, Esteban Rojas, 44. The man has a national and international arrest warrant, judicial and police sources informed the Télam agency.
The victim was identified as Ferni Cristina Ayala Palacios, a Paraguayan national. The young woman was found by her own sister, Clara, Monday morning on the first floor of house 187 located on Lavardén street, block 18, in villa 21-24, in the south of the City of Buenos Aires. Aires.
The young woman had filed a complaint to find out her whereabouts after not being able to contact her since Sunday and finally decided to force her way into Rojas’s house.
“We kicked the door open with a neighbor and we found my sister at three in the morning, dead with two shots to the chest and bruises all over her body,” said her sister Clara, in dialogue with Arriba Argentinos, by the thirteen. According to the experts, Ferni had been dead for several hours.

Clara said that Ferni, who was the mother of a 10-year-old boy from a previous relationship, had lived “for six or seven months” with Rojas. Witnesses saw the couple arguing at the exit of a nightclub in the Constitución neighborhood on Sunday morning. That night, Ferni had gone out with Rojas along with two of her sisters who left earlier to go to work.
Before separating, they saw her “very distraught and on the verge of tears” but she assured them that she was fine. The last photo that the victim published on her networks showed them together in her house, at 2 in the morning on February 19. “Sweetheart,” said the Facebook post in which Rojas hugged Ferni around the shoulders and neck.
Background for gender violence
Clara said that after the crime they found out that Rojas had three complaints of gender violence from different women, the last of hers in July 2022, when she was already in a relationship with her sister.
Rojas, also a Paraguayan national, was a moneylender and used to be armed, according to the victim’s family. “He could have escaped to Paraguay.
