Bugatti had already teamed up with Bytech in 2022 to release e-scooters under their own brand. 2023 should a new model come onto the market, which is around 10% larger than the previous model, is equipped with a 15.6 Ah battery with 36 volts and has an output of 1,000 watts for the electric motor. As a result, a top speed of 35 km/h, which is not really StVo-compliant, should be possible.

According to the manufacturer, the e-scooter can cover a distance of approx. 56 km with one battery charge. With the previous model it was still 35 km. Unfortunately, there is still no information about the price. It is clear that the increased size should now offer more space for the driver to stand and 10-inch tires are used. Bugatti speaks of a tubeless design and “self-repairing tires”. This means that with smaller stitches, glue can automatically flow to close the hole. This is nothing new and is also used on some bicycle tires.

The Bugatti e-scooter can also be secured with a passcode. It has a touch screen that shows speed, remaining battery life, riding mode and lighting status. As a haptic enhancement, the handlebar grips are made of leather. Bugatti wants to offer three color variants of its e-scooter: yellow, black and blue.

Whether the e-scooter could also come onto the German market in a modified form with reduced speed remains to be seen.
