You’ve probably spent hours looking for a series to watch on Netflix without being able to decide. Many subscribers sometimes have the impression of having seen all the interesting content on the streaming platform.
However, there are still some productions that have never caught your attention but are still worth seeing. We have selected 3 excellent series that you may have missed.
Dogs of Berlin
The German detective series takes us deep into the depths of Berlin. We therefore follow a police investigation into a politically very sensitive murder. But it is also an opportunity to explore the challenges of the city’s different communities, in particular the Turks and Croats, or even the ultra-nationalist circles of the German capital.
Very well done and with an excellent cast that is relatively unknown (at least in France), Dogs of Berlin manages to keep us in suspense throughout the ten episodes of the series which has only one season.
Midnight at Pera Palace
Last March, Netflix quietly added the Turkish series Midnight at Pera Palace in its catalog. This production would have deserved further communication as it is captivating. We follow the journey of a young journalist, Esra, who goes there to report but discovers that one of the establishment’s rooms has the power to take you back to 1919.
Here she is then immersed in a political and historical intrigue concerning the founder of Turkey: Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. We won’t say more so as not to spoil the suspense, but the 8 episodes of the series follow one another very quickly.
top boy
The British series top boy is often compared to TheWire by David Simon. As the American production did for Baltimore, we follow the lives of young Londoners in a disadvantaged area of the British capital. Several of them are involved in drug trafficking and various criminal activities.
With its excellent cast, this production focuses on the consequences of poverty and crime on the lives of the inhabitants. We appreciate this achievement at the height of men who should take you to the guts. 4 seasons are already available, and a fifth will be released soon.
