In recent years, Dead Island 2 has become best known for its repeated postponements. The game, which was originally supposed to be released in 2015, has repeatedly had to wait, but this week Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios were finally able to bring good news to fans.

The zombie game is finished, and is now actually coming earlier than the developer announced last year. Instead of launching on April 28, it will be available on April 21, Deep Silver writes on the game’s website.

– Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios are equally delighted and incredibly relieved to be able to confirm that the long-awaited zombie slaughter saga Dead Island 2 has been fully developed. In celebration, the two companies have also decided to cut down on the wait time for fans, with the game now arriving a week earlier than they had expected.

Furthermore, the publisher writes that fans can expect more details about the game during the two months leading up to launch. Deep Silver promises both new trailers and videos that tell how the game actually works.

Dead Island 2 is coming to PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
