At least five ambulances and two helicopters are involved in the rescue work initially, according to SOS Alarm.
About 50 people, including several young people, are involved in the accident. Of these, between eight and nine people are said to be injured, according to the police. Two people have been taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
– There are 50 people involved, one of whom is seriously injured. It has been quite messy on site, but no one is trapped under the bus, says Johan Westh, rescue leader from the rescue service in Torsby.
The passengers who are not seriously injured are now being cared for at a restaurant located next to the road.
– The injuries we have are fractures on fingers, among other things. It is clear that there is quite a commotion in such a bus when it lies on its side.
It is supposed to be very slippery at the site and a sand truck is ordered to the site for road maintenance. According to the police’s website, three vehicles are said to have been involved in the accident.
