Who is the macho with the many (clever) questions?
initially became Gigi Birofio (23) underestimated as the dull tattoo macho. But in the meantime the Italian has drilled his way into the hearts of the audience with his naive questions. Now he is one of the secret favorites for the title Jungle King 2023, makes the viewers smile AND languish in front of the telly.

TV beginnings and career
In 2020, ex-stripper Gigi became known for his appearance on the dome show “Ex on the Beach”. His relationship with the candidate Michelle Daniaux (23) kept social media busy.
In 2022, Michelle and Gigi split, only to get back together after starring in Prominent Separated. Later, the final separation took place after the RTL show “Temptation Island VIP”.
He had his breakthrough as a macho with the funny sayings at the latest with “Battle of the Reality Stars”, where he shook up the show in 2021 as a latecomer.
Michelle and Gigi had a turbulent on-off relationship, but it’s finally over since “Temptation Island VIP”.
Gigi in private
Gigi is the son of Italian immigrants. Among other things, he worked as a stripper and as an industrial electrician. “His vision was television after school when he was 19, that’s what he wanted to do,” says his buddy and companion, reality star Mike Heiter. Today Gigi lives near Ludwigsburg – and still at home with mom.

dr Bob about Gigi to BILD: “When I asked him if he could cook, he said: ‘Oh, Bob, Mom, I live with my mother. She cooks all the food for me, you know.’ I had to laugh and asked if he was really staying with his mother. He said, ‘Oh yes.’ I kind of wanted to stab him in the ribs and say he’s a big boy now and maybe he should learn to cook and move away from home.”

How real are Gigi’s sayings?
“He’s really like that. He always asks what he is thinking without thinking too much beforehand. Sometimes it’s not so good, but in the jungle he does everything right,” explains his buddy Mike Heiter to BILD.
And further: “I’m glad that after the initial prejudices as macho people get to know the real Gigi. He has a good heart and would never want to hurt anyone.”

Gigi’s weakness
Why does Gigi always have to choke on the jungle camp exams? That’s what some viewers are asking – and Mike knows the answer!
Because: Gigi has a secret fear when it comes to leftovers. “He also told me that he must throw up during the food tests. He throws up when he sees leftovers while doing the dishes. It’s a big challenge for him.”
Also, Gigi doesn’t like fish. “But he wants to win, so he pulls through every test,” explains Mike.

Mike’s funniest experience with Gigi
“You always have fun with Gigi, especially when partying, he’s always good for a surprise,” says Mike Heiter. After the shooting of “Battle of the Reality Stars” both celebrations went. “But he didn’t go back to his room afterwards, he slept on the sidewalk. He wanted to sleep in the sun, he mumbled when I woke him up.”

Gigi’s buddy Mike Heiter to BILD: “I’m surprised that Gigi connected with everyone from day one. He’s usually a wait-and-see guy who takes a look at everything first. He has a good chance of winning the title.”
Mike sees only one stumbling block for Gigi: “I think he could have a problem with candidates like Tessa. They’re not on the same wavelength. He’s not one to freak out or offend anyone. At first he doesn’t want to have anything to do with the person and does his own thing.”
Spectator favorite Gigi will hardly become a riot candidate anymore. The jungle crown, however, is slowly approaching.
