Andrea is the mother of Chanchi, one of the comedian’s children, and she told her tough story in Intruders, giving strong details of the physical and verbal violence she suffered for years. “I lived an experience very similar to that of Verónica Bracamonte,” she began by telling the América program.
“I did not experience the sexual aberration that she recounts because it was in another context, we were family, we had a son so we lived another story and it was all very confusing, but I did experience beatings and verbal violence,” she stressed in her testimony.
Sabina was in a relationship with Garay for more than 11 years and revealed that many of the abuses she suffered occurred “at a time when Cacho was doing excellent and filled theaters.” “Today I’m here for that, because my family still asks me if it’s true… I lived 80% of the story that Veronica tells,” she said. Also, Andrea clarified that for her the father of her son is “a good humorist.”
Andrea said that she did not have much of a relationship with Verónica. “Sometimes I had the opportunity to come across her and tell her: ‘Get out of here, don’t believe what he tells you, you’re not going to be famous or a great singer, you’re young and you can live life next to another person.’ But she didn’t listen to me. I had problems in an eardrum, also in the septum… The first time was when my son was about to be born, in 2003, due to a discussion in the apartment he was renting during his first season in Villa Carlos Paz. There were slaps. He didn’t do anything so tremendous to me, but I went back to Mendoza,” the woman recalled.
“He told all the people that I had hooked up with him to have a child and live well and that is not the case. I am not his first woman, I am the third … ”, he revealed. “I would never have liked to talk about this issue, but it’s like ending this cycle, finally being able to tell what happened to me,” Andrea closed her harsh and sad story.
