Hakan Calhanoglu is apparently close to a contract extension at Inter Milan. As the ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ reports, the agents of the 29-year-old midfielder have already agreed with the Nerazzurri to extend the contract to 2026 plus an option for another season. There is also agreement on the numbers, according to the Italian sports newspaper.

This should ideally be announced together with the entry into the quarter-finals of the Champions League. But the Italians must first get through one round successfully against FC Porto. The first leg between Inter and the Portuguese representatives takes place at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Wednesday evening at 9pm before the teams meet again in Porto on 14 March.
