The Canadian government shot down an unidentified flying object that violated Canadian airspace.

It was Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who ordered it to be torn down

“Canadian and US aircraft were coded and a US F-22 successfully fired on the object,” he said in a tweet. “Canadian forces will now recover and analyze the remains of the object,” the president said.

NORAD is a United States-Canadian organization tasked with aerospace warning, aerospace control, and maritime warning missions for North America.

The latest incident comes after the recent incursion of a suspected Chinese spy balloon over US and Canadian territory, and after the US shot down another unidentified object near the Canadian border on Friday.

The White House has not given details of the origin of said object but it has explained that it was different from the Chinese balloon that was shot down last week after flying over several states of the United States.
