With the ever-increasing popularity of Internet content creation, many vloggers Those looking to improve the quality of their video production are looking for a camera that isn’t uncomfortable or complicated to use. And it is aiming at this segment that Canon presents the new PowerShot V10, a compact camera for vlogs with powerful microphones, retractable screen and 1 inch sensor with 4K video recording.

Betting on design as one of its biggest differentials, the PowerShot V10 features a recording button positioned below the lens that can also be used to activate the camera in a few seconds, being ready to record at any time.

While many consider the practicality of using the smartphone to record content, a dedicated camera with unique features offers even greater benefit thanks to the 2-inch hinged screen that allows creators to see what is being displayed.

The large 1-inch CMOS photo sensor is 20 MP (with 13.1 MP effective for video and 15.2 MP effective for photos) and captures more details with natural blurring, and supports 4K video at 30 fps or Full HD (1080p) up to 60 fps.

The camera has an ISO with a range of 125 to 12,800, but during recording the software limits its use to up to 3,200 for 4K resolution and up to 6,400 in Full HD.

By focusing on recording vlogs with the faces of creators visible most of the time, Canon implements a facial tracking system to keep the subject always in focus, in addition to five levels of skin smoothing filter, image to avoid blurring, manual exposure adjustment and automatic settings for those who don’t want to worry about the details.

The PowerShot V10 also has an integrated stand to position the camera on a flat surface and allow for stable recordings, in addition to ensuring the use of tripods for greater video versatility.

The compact camera weighs only 211 grams — lighter than many current smartphones —, bringing support for micro SD cards and an integrated 1,250 mAh battery with USB-C charging and a promise of up to 55 minutes of battery life in 4K resolution.

price and availability

The Canon PowerShot V10 is already available in the international market with a suggested price of US$ 429, or approximately R$ 2,130.

The model is a much more accessible competitor to the recently launched Sony ZV-E1, an even more complete camera with advanced features that has a suggested price of US$ 2,199 (~R$ 11 thousand) for the body only.

The launch of PowerShot V10 in Brazil is unknown.
