People in the buildings were advised to shelter in place after someone reported a possible active shooter, but there was no sign of a shooting, according to police. No injuries were reported.

Likewise, the authorities confirmed that they did not find any active gunmen.

The Washington, DC, Metropolitan Police are assisting the Capitol Police with the investigation.
