Charles III Charity Celebrates Expansion in the United States

LONDON.- The king Charles III, in treatment for a cancerwill participate on a float in the parade to celebrate his birthdayin June, and not on horseback like last year, the PA news agency reported today – May 30.

The sovereign will turn 76 on November 14, but tradition dictates that in June, with milder temperatures, a public ceremony be organized, with a military parade and an appearance by the royal family on the balcony.

“The king, who resumed his public activities at the end of April after the announcement of his cancer, the details of which are unknown, at the beginning of February, will participate this time in the event, on June 15, riding a float,” he reported. PA.

Queen Elizabeth II stopped parading on horseback in 1986 and participated by riding a float in the following years, until her death in 2022.

Charles III, Queen Camilla, 76, and their son William, 41, will travel to France on June 6 for celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings.

Notably absent from those commemorations and other monarchy-related events in June will be William’s wife, Princess Kate, 42.

The Princess of Wales, who is receiving chemotherapy treatment to fight cancer, was last seen at a public event in December last year.

The king and queen will also host Emperor Naruhito of Japan and his wife, Masako, in June, for a state visit at the invitation of the British government.

The king has been receiving treatment for his cancer and last month doctors said they were encouraged by the progress made in the fight against his illness, allowing him to resume his official duties.

Charles III has been seen in public in recent weeks at various events, including the Chelsea Flower Fair last week.
