The trial for the crime of Fernando Báez Sosa continued this Monday with the statement of several witnessesamong which stood out the coroner who performed the autopsy on the 18-year-old boy who died after the brutal beating at the exit of a bowling alley in Villa Gesell, in January 2020.
Two of the main testimonies were that of the ambulance doctor who attended Fernando after the attack and the coroner who performed the autopsy on the body, who said that the injuries “more important” were in the brain. At the same time, He confirmed that he had a shoe mark on his face and assured that he had “never” seen “nothing like it”.
Carolina Giribaldi Larrosaa member of the emergency team that assisted the victim, explained before the Oral Criminal Court 1 of Dolores, that “he had no vital signs” when they arrived at the scene of the attack, and that he had “mydriatic (dilated) pupils, he had no reflexes, no respiratory movements, and no pulse”.
The doctor specified that “unfortunately there was no response” of Báez Sosa in view of the assistance received, and assured that in her 18 years as an emergency physician she had never seen “the death of a person as a result of CPR compression maneuvers” like the ones they did. In addition, the doctor came across an idea that she sought to debate the defense of rugby players and she ruled out that “The resuscitation has caused the death of Báez Sosa”.
