The new “standalone” headset, which does not need another device to function, must compete with Meta’s models, such as the Quest 2 and Quest Pro. It weighs approximately 625 grams and offers a mixed reality experience, with color cameras and a depth sensor. At this weight, it is slightly heavier than the Meta Quest 2 at 503 grams and lighter than the Quest Pro at 722 grams.

According to HTC, the Vive XR Elite has an expected battery life of two hours of use, with support for fast charging at 30 W via the Power Delivery standard, but it is also possible to use it connected to the power to be used for a longer period. of time.
