One of the seasons in which electricity is used the most is summer, due to the use of refrigerators and air conditioners, because there are areas in Quintana Roo where the heat exceeds 30 °C, however until a few weeks ago the citizenship remained in doubt because the state was not part of the entities selected to receive this subsidy, said the deputy Anahí González.
“I take advantage of the rostrum as a representative of the State of Quintana Roo since I have received numerous concerns from the population of Quintana Roo as to why the CFE excluded our state from its portalwhich does affect because this indicates that we will not have a discount for the 2023 hot season and I emphasize that I support those who have legitimate concern on this issue and I will tell the director of operations of the CFE for his correction, because otherwise I warn you beforehand that Quintana Roo is considered in the states that will have discounts on the electricity bill for its hot season,” said Deputy Anahí González in plenary session.
Until last year, Quintana Roo only had a discount in tourist cities like Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Carmen beach and Tulum, since priority was given to this economic sector, however the discount rate was 1C, and they have tried to move to 1D, which would give up to 30 percent discount in the savings of the payment of the light.
