It’s official, a film from the Rainbow Six universe is indeed planned in Paramount’s pipes. It must be said that Tom Clancy has released many successful novels around geopolitical conflicts and espionage and these have been great sources used in video games or in the cinema for years. It doesn’t seem to be over if the latest news is to be believed.

Without Remorse sequel to be helmed by John Wick director

In 2021, the film Without Remorse released on Amazon Prime with John Clark – Michael B. Jordan – as the headliner, teased the potential arrival of a Rainbow Six film in the post-credits scene.

The Hollywood Reporter today reports that this sequel focused on Rainbow Six will see the light of day and that Michael B. Jordan will take over the role of John Clark. The Navy SEAL and CIA agent is a figure in the Tom Clancy universe, just like Jack Ryan, who also had his own Amazon series with John Krasinski in the lead role.

Coming back to the movie Rainbow Six, it is the director of John Wick, Chad Stahelski, who will be at the helm of the project. Stahelski all John Wick films since 2014 and is now recognized as one of the masters of the genre in Hollywood. Paramount is reportedly considering a theatrical release for the new Rainbow Six movie and not just streaming platforms. We will have to follow the news around this adaptation.
