The Department of Justice reported that they have already identified the suspect in the murder of a 17-year-old tourist and leaving two others injured in events reported on Saturday night on a beach near Casa Cuba in Isla Verde.
“The suspect has been identified and the Prosecutor’s Office is completing the required process, with the expectation of filing charges tomorrow against the person responsible for the crime and proving it beyond a reasonable doubt in court.”, the agency said in a written communication.
However, authorities have not released the name of the suspect.
The victim was identified as Tommy Grace, 17, of Waldorf, Maryland. The injured were identified as Marice Gaines, 39, and Aron Amani, who is in critical condition.
On the facts, preliminarily, the authorities had reported that a discussion had occurred at the scene, however, Police Commissioner Antonio López Figueroa said last night that they are still investigating the motive for the shooting.
A security guard who witnessed the incident told Telenoticias that he saw the tourists “running” a boy and then shots were heard.
Two others were injured.

We regret the event and the lives affected during it,” said Ana González, president of the Board of Directors of the Círculo Cubano.
