Computer science student Edward Tian developed over the holidays a web-application he calls GPTZero in reference to ChatGPT. As he explained on Twitter“ I spent the New Year building GPTZero – an app that can quickly and efficiently detect if a text was written by ChatGPT or by a human “.
We can clearly see in the demonstration video above that it suffices to copy-paste any text in GPTZero. The app then indicates whether the text was probably written by an artificial intelligence or a human. GPTZero was so successful that it was down only hours after deployment.
