Andrey Santos (18) is moving from Brazilian second division club Vasco da Gama to Chelsea in the Premier League. The South Americans announce this officially. The Blues reportedly paid a fee of 14 million euros for the services of the central midfielder.
The 1.80 meter tall right footer made his professional debut at Vasco da Gama about a year ago and in the months that followed developed into an indispensable regular player. Santos only extended his contract with his youth club until 2027 in September.
In the Vasco midfield he played 36 competitive games in the Brazilian Serie B last season and scored eight goals. Newcastle United, Manchester City and FC Barcelona also tried to secure the youngster’s services. Now Santos is drawn to Stamford Bridge.
