Los Angeles (USA), May 7 (EFE).- Chris Taylor was this Saturday the key man for the Dodgers in their victory against their Californian rivals the Padres in a Major League matchday in which the Los Angeles Cardinals St. Louis and the Pittsburgh Pirates extended their losing streaks.
PARENTS 1-2 DODGERS
With a two-run homer in the fourth inning, Chris Taylor led the Los Angeles Dodgers’ assault on San Diego against the Padres.
Dominican Fernando Tatís Jr. drove in the only run for the Padres, who had just beaten the Dodgers 5-2 on Friday and will close their series against the Angels on Sunday.
PIRATES 2-8 BLUE JES
The Pittsburgh Pirates chained their sixth consecutive loss by falling heavily against the Toronto Blue Jays in which Puerto Rican José Berríos (3-3) scored the victory with 7 strikeouts and 2 runs conceded in 6.1 innings worked.
Cuban Johan Oviedo (2-3) was left with the loss for the Pirates by allowing 7 runs in five innings.
CARDINALS 5-6 TIGERS
Another team that does not raise its head is the St. Louis Cardinals, who added their eighth straight game losing when they were surpassed by the Detroit Tigers in extra innings.
Akil Baddoo drove in Curacao’s Jonathan Schoop’s score in the tenth inning with which the Tigers claimed victory.
SAILORS 7-5 ASTROS
The Seattle Mariners unleashed a gale against the Houston Astros, who were mercilessly beaten in the seventh inning with 7 runs to sign a great comeback.
The Panamanian José Caballero was one of the outstanding protagonists of that offensive display with two RBIs and one scored.
The cross for the Astros went to Dominican Rafael Montero (0-1), who took the loss by allowing 4 runs in 0.2 innings on the mound.
