Lech. (sco) The Missa brevis a tre voci by Michael Haydn was heard at the second mass on the first Easter day in the new parish church in Lech.

The choir of the Lech music school, led by Andreas Madlener, had their first major performance since the pandemic at this celebration with the Lech pastor Father Adrian. Otto Stundner accompanied the enthusiastic singers, among them Mayor a. D. Ludwig Muxel, on the organ. The program included an aria by Johann Sebastian Bach for organ and violin, a minuet for recorders and the work Two in a Boat for violins. As an excerpt, Otto Stundner played Bach’s Prelude. The vocalists and instrumentalists gave the faithful present great Easter joy with their performances. Regular choir practice In a conversation immediately after the Easter Mass, music school teacher Andreas Madlener was pleased to note that the choir had recovered very well after the pandemic. There were also newcomers. In a tourist area where everyone is very busy and committed, it is not easy to sing in a choir. Nevertheless, according to Andreas Madlener, the men and women “find time to regularly practice for one and a half hours for the choir, which has also taken part in choir festivals”. On Sunday, April 16, the octave day of Easter, the parish of Lech invites you to the seasonal thanksgiving service at 5:15 p.m. in the new parish church. The liturgy celebration is led by Father Adrian with the Tyrolean mountain mass by J. Mayer. The participants are the vocal ensemble of the Lech Music School under the direction of Thomas Fellner and instrumentalists. The special musical participation in seasonal thanksgiving services has a long tradition in Lech.
