The infinitely valuable work of the school social workers of the ifs, who are precisely qualified for this task, is essential for mastering this task.
The city of Bludenz is aware of the explosiveness of the situation and is doing everything that is possible with the means of a municipality to support children and young people in their challenging situation. School social work will also be funded with over 50,000 euros in the 2023 budget. This despite the difficult financial situation in all cities and communities.
“We support the tasks of the ifs with all means that are justifiable to us. In addition, the responsible state councilors Wiesflecker and Schöbi-Fink have already pointed out several times that an increase is urgently needed here. We see this as a clear task for the state of Vorarlberg. In some cases, we have already been accommodated here, but it is still not enough.” Mayor Simon Tschann emphasizes the importance of the task.
“We are thus taking responsibility for the mental and physical health of our Bludenz students,” says Education City Councilor Bernhard Corn, pleased about the funds made available in the budget.
