The singer, whose last album dates back to 2016, is expected to unveil new tracks at the music festival. This will be his first concert in six years.

The influential but discreet R&B singer Frank Ocean will make his big comeback this Sunday on the stage of Coachella, an event festival, which is spread over two weekends each year and traditionally launches the musical festivities of the summer.

Frank Ocean was originally set to become the first queer headlining artist at the 2020 edition, but organizers first postponed and then eventually scrapped it due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

His concert will start this Sunday at 10 a.m. at Coachella (7 p.m. in France) and it will be possible to watch it in France on the festival’s YouTube channel.

First concert in six years

Frank Ocean, who hasn’t released an album since Blonde in 2016, is expected to present new sounds at the festival. The concert he is to give this Sunday is also his first in six years. The singer hasn’t performed since the Flow Festival in August 2017.

Very discreet since that date, he released half a dozen singles including a cover of the standard Moon River. He diversified his activities and launched himself into the cinema. He plans to write and direct his own feature film. For the moment, no details on its content have been revealed.
