Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies rescued a Coast Guard pilot after his plane crashed into the sea off Sawyer Key, near the Lower Keys, Sunday morning.
The pilot was identified as Adam Joseph Barney, 40, of Orlando, Florida, who was alone and sustained non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The report also states that the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission as well as the US Coast Guard assisted in the rescue.
At the moment, the aviation authorities are investigating what happened in the accident.
