Comedian shows how English classes are in Cuba

A Cuban comedian recreated in a Tik Tok the low level of English classes in Cuban schools.

The comedian Aliarcito staged an English class with a teacher, two students and few speeches.

“’Hi, how are you?’ ‘I’m fine, thanks’; ‘Where are you from’ ‘I’m from Cuba’”, are the few speeches that the frightened students exchange, before the teacher concludes the class and gives both 100 grade points.

Dozens of Cubans felt identified with the sketch and reacted with humor.

“Literally, haha, that’s why we are the way we are in the USA,” someone said in a comment.

“The worst thing is that they are in all grades,” commented another.

“Brooo, that dialogue will work for 7th, 8th and 9th grades,” a third user mocked.

Last year, network users They reacted stupefied to the English teleclasses taught by two Cuban teachers to primary school children on the island.

After fragments of the teachers’ teleclasses were broadcast on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, numerous Internet users pointed out the “particular” English accent with which they teach that language to children.

In general, they said they were confused because it was not clear to them if the teachers were trying to teach the English language or a dialect derived from that language.
