Lars Ricken has commented on the rumors that Ajax want to bring back talented striker Julian Rijkhoff (18). On the sidelines of Borussia Dortmund’s U19 Bundesliga game against Hertha BSC (0: 1), the BVB youth director said to ‘Sky’: “The fact that such players also arouse interest in top clubs when they play in the spotlight is completely normal nowadays.”

When specifically asked about the Ajax rumour, Ricken remains calm: “I read it. If such clubs are interested, it is first of all an appreciation for the player and for us too. But he also enjoys a high esteem with us in particular and was already part of the pros. Of course we always want development as quickly as possible, but we also have to give the guys the time they need.”
