The National Weather Service confirmed the arrival of a tornado in North Attleboro and Mansfield, Massachusetts, on Friday morning.
They said they will issue a more detailed route length and EF rating later in the day after their survey has been completed.
A radar-confirmed tornado was also reported Friday morning in Johnston and Scituate, Rhode Island, and the agency said they will head to the state Friday afternoon to inspect that damage.
This is the fifth tornado to hit Massachusetts this summer.
