Mexico City.- A new confrontation between elements of the National Guard and members of organized crime left two people dead and one detainee.

The events occurred during the early hours of this Friday between the streets of May 5 and June 1, in the municipality of Coatepec Harinas, located in the south of the State of Mexico.

According to preliminary information, upon noticing the presence of the National Guard elements, two presumed members of La Familia Michoacana, who were traveling in a Jeep Grand Cherokee, began to shoot at them, and the elements responded to the attack.

Another subject, apparently linked to the criminals, and who was riding a motorcycle, was arrested.

In the area there is already an operation by the Attorney General of the State of Mexico, the Secretary of Security and federal forces.
