It is possible to obtain the Digital Vaccination Card on your cell phone with the Connect SUS application. The tool was initially used to save information about vaccination against covid-19, but it also displays the record of other vaccines.
However, only the most recent applications are saved in the app. In the case of vaccination against yellow fever, the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis (CIVP) is only available for those who received the dose after December 30, 2022.
For vaccines received in childhood, for example, it is still necessary to resort to paper documents or regional, state and municipal applications.
What is Connect SUS?
Connect SUS is an application for Android and iOS that offers digital access to resources and information from the Unified Health System (SUS). With the Gov.br account login, it is possible to obtain the National Health Card number and save the SUS card on the cell phone.
In addition, the app also provides vaccination records, exams and drug prescriptions obtained by the public health network.
How to access the Digital Vaccination Card
- Log in with the Gov.br account to enter the application;
- On the home screen, select the “Vaccines” icon;
- Tap “Your vaccines”, in the “Documents” tab;
- View the most recent vaccination record.
How to get a second copy of the vaccination card
- Access the “Vaccines” screen in the app;
- Press the banner “Access your National Vaccination Card”;
- View the document with the vaccines, save the file as a PDF or add it to your mobile wallet.
It is important to remember that the duplicate shows only the most recent vaccine applications. In the case of vaccination against covid-19, the document issued by the app is an alternative for those who lost the paper receipt.
To add old data, Conecta SUS recommends visiting a Basic Health Unit (preferably the same one where you received the doses) and asking them to transcribe the paper booklet into the electronic medical record. In this way, vaccines can be accessed through the app.
