CHICAGO .- Irish mixed martial arts boxer Conor McGregor was charged Thursday with sexually assaulting a woman at the Kaseya Center at Miami Downton during an NBA Finals game between the Heat and the Denver Nuggets.

At the moment, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the world’s largest mixed martial arts company, reported in a statement that it is “seeking additional details about the incident.”

“The organization is aware of the recent allegations related to Conor McGregor and will continue to seek additional details regarding the incident. The UFC will allow the legal process to proceed before making any further comment,” the UFC wrote in its statement.

McGregor, 34, who is expecting his fourth child with his partner Dee Devlin, was accused of sexually assaulting and “violently” a woman in a bathroom at the Kaseya Center in Miami during the fourth game of the NBA Finals, according to ‘TMZ’.

The American media, which cites information from the lawyer Ariel Mitchell, assures that the woman was forced by McGregor to enter a stadium bathroom and that the boxer kissed her against her will and tried to have a sexual relationship with her. The woman managed to free herself and escaped from the bathroom.

McGregor’s lawyers denied these accusations, reports ‘TMZ’.

McGregor was in Miami to make a promotional ad for a pain-relieving spray and was booed by the crowd when he jumped onto the court at halftime of the game.

As part of the stunt, McGregor was supposed to prank the Miami Heat mascot, but misjudged his force and injured the person behind the costume.

The person who played the mascot, who was not identified, was treated by first responders and is recovering at home after being beaten by the former UFC champion.
