Contaminated food sickens 600 million people a year

MIAMI. – June 7 is World Food Safety Day. Foods. The date was agreed in 2019 by the UN, which delegated matters related to this matter to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Among the basic recommendations to ensure food safety are the following: Maintain cleanliness; separate raw and cooked foods; cook thoroughly; preserve food at appropriate temperatures, and use safe water and raw materials.
