There’s always something going on with this little prince!

Prince Louis (5), Prince’s youngest offspring, traveled to the big coronation ceremony on Saturday William (40) and Kate (41), together with his family to Westminster Abbey. He walked hand in hand with his big sister Charlotte (8) into the magnificent church, sat dutifully with his parents in the front row during the service – and then suddenly disappeared.

Spectators puzzled: had the little prince crumbled? Had he crawled under the chairs out of sheer boredom? Or did he have more important plans than that coronation watching grandpa Charles (74)?

Of course not: During the long service, the five-year-old was allowed to withdraw and rest. It had been planned that way from the start. A coronation isn’t just exhausting for the king…

It goes without saying that such a long service is only moderately exciting for a five-year-old. Louis sat next to his sister Charlotte on the chair, became very fidgety and pointed here and there.

Charlotte was the patient big sister and kept her brother happy. Louis’ interest in all the pageantry soon waned, however, and he slumped back in his seat.

Then it could be seen that the little prince could hardly hide his tiredness. An event of the century, grandpa is crowned king, millions of people are watching – yawn!

Sister Charlotte sat alone between her parents for the remainder of the ceremony. Brother George (9) was not with them either: as a page of honour, he had the great task of taking on the king’s robes Charles III to wear when he walked to Westminster Abbey with the king’s wife Camilla (75).

George had things to do: together with seven other selected children, sons of high-ranking members of the king and from the country's high nobility, the king's grandson got his own appearance

At the end of the ceremony in Westminster Abbey, Louis rejoined his family and rode with them in the carriage back to Buckingham Palace – directly behind the royal couple’s carriage. Then Brother George was there again.

The afternoon nap had done Louis good: rested and alert, the fourth in line to the throne shone with his charm, made faces and waved at the spectators.

On the On the balcony of Buckingham Palace he was his old self again, giggling with Sister Charlotte.

The program there was apparently more to the liking of little Louis: the royal military aerobatic squadron flew in formation over the royals and the spectators. The mini prince was visibly excited.

With his enthusiasm, he again created cute scenes on the balcony: Louis was amazed, pointed to something, opened his mouth, looked outraged, excited and amused – there was always something going on in his face!
