Actor Cody Longo has died at the age of 34. Among other things, he played in the television series “CSI” or in the US soap opera “Days of Our Lives”.

A family member explained to “ TMZ‘ that Cody’s body was found in the bed at his home in Austin, Texas on Wednesday.

Longo’s wife, Stephanie, reportedly felt uneasy working at a local dance studio, couldn’t reach her husband and called the police to the house. Because Longo didn’t open the door, the policemen kicked in the door and found him dead in bed.

The unnamed family member explained that Longo struggled with alcohol abuse for years. Only in the summer did he do a rehabilitation cure. The family believes that he relapsed and that alcoholism was the cause of his death.

Cody’s wife Stephanie confirmed the death to TMZ. Because of his alcohol addiction, he worked really hard to fight for his children.

She: “He was a great father and the best husband. Our whole world is broken.” Longo is survived by his wife, a 7-year-old daughter, a 5-year-old son and a 1-year-old son.

As an actor, Longo has appeared in many series. Around 2011 in eight episodes of “Days of Our Lives”, also in 2016 in “Nashville”. He had his biggest role in “Hollywood Heights” – there he appeared as Eddie Duran in 78 episodes. He also starred in the crime series CSI.
