A Cuban found a phone on the street and delivered it to a branch of the Cuban Telecommunications Company (ETECSA) this Monday.

The event happened in San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque province, according to what he said in Facebook the communications monopoly in Cuba.

“Today a client went to our Commercial Office in San José de Las Lajas to deliver a phone found on the street,” although the name of the Cuban was not revealed, the company described him as a “man of integrity and honest person who does not profit from what belongs to others”.

So far, it has not been clarified who owned the cell phone or if it was delivered to its owner.

The act was recognized by dozens of Internet users who did not cease to be amazed at such a show of honesty in the midst of the growing wave of robberies and assaults in the country.

“As it is being lived and what is being seen today, this gesture is worthy but worthy of admiration, congratulations, my heart is glad that people like this exist,” said an Internet user.

Also this month, hundreds of Cubans were moved by the action of a taxi driver that charges its users only what they can give it.

One of these lucky customers shared his story on his Facebook wall, where he praised the altruistic gesture of this driver, who unfortunately is not one of the most abundant in Cuba.

At the beginning of June, another similar action received the applause of Cubans because a young taxi driver in Havana he suspended his job to help two injured women.

The driver, identified as Yunier Casalvilla, was in his car with license plate number P186257 on the route to La Ceguera, and before reaching the Almendares bridge stop, he witnessed the first accident.
