A Cuban called Wendy Grisel Matos Ramoshas published a video on his Instagram account in which he recounts the arduous journey she made alone from Cuba to achieve her dream of reaching the United States.
The young woman, who describes herself as a singer, violinist and pianist, compiled some of the hard moments she went through with the aim of telling her story and sharing it with all her followers on social networks.
In the material we can first see Wendy in Cuba narrating, through tears, that she had made the decision to embark on the journey alone and how difficult it was for her to leave her family, pets and friends on the island.
Then we can see her saying goodbye to her family at the airport to begin her solo trip. Later, the young woman shows several of the Latin American countries that she went through and some of the experiences that she had to live until she arrived in Mexico and waited for them to approve her crossing to the United States, where some of her friends were waiting for her.
In addition to documenting her journey in images, Wendy also wrote a few words alongside the post in which she summarizes her journey and all the feelings and insecurities she had to face.
“Mom, dad, I made it. Today I must say thank you, God and Orula, for not leaving me alone for even one moment of the many times I needed your company on this path full of danger and uncertainty. The day I left Cuba I left half of my heart and I brought the other one with me along with the backpack full of memories. What was the hardest moment? Saying goodbye to my family, friends, kissing and holding my two babies (dogs) for the last time, arriving at the airport and feeling “I had minutes left with my parents and I would have to give them that last hug that would break me into a thousand pieces.”added the Cuban.
“I always knew it would be difficult and it would hurt a lot, but I didn’t imagine it would hurt so much until I had to live it. I went through so many things to get here, that I still don’t believe I was able to face all of that alone. I was accompanied by the eternal prayers from my family every minute I was away from them. Arriving in this wonderful country and being welcomed by the best friends that life could give me, was that injection of love that I so needed. Thank you mom and dad for supporting me, for giving me. the drive and strength that I lacked to go out to look for a better future. Today I manifest that I will have you with me in a short time. To complete my happiness, I need you and my two babies. A new chapter in my life begins and it will be called: The time has come. to fulfill dreams”he finished.
