However, this ranking is not the only distinction for Algeria. Indeed, thanks to the skills of these pastry chefs and cooks, Algeria has once again succeeded in beating the competition and winning another title in the culinary field.

And this, in particular during the culinary world cup organized, in its 2nd edition, in Tunisia. Indeed, the city of Hammamet kicked off this competition on Friday, February 10, to welcome participants from 35 countries around the world. The jury, which brings together cooking and pastry professionals from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Croatia and Turkey, tasted and evaluated the achievements of each participant during this competition.

Algeria is participating in the 2023 Culinary World Cup with a team of 60 participants, who excel in the fields of traditional cakes, cake design and modern pastry, but also in the field of traditional cuisine.

However, during this event, Algeria was not content with mere participation. She managed to seduce the taste buds of the jury and win the first prize of this culinary world, awarded in particular in the category of pastries and traditional cakes. And this, in addition to the many gold medals that were awarded to several Algerian participants.

This culinary world cup ended with an award ceremony on the evening of Sunday February 13, 2023.
